In order to
control the curing of polyester and vinylester resins,
several additives are needed depending on the application
method.
Catalysts, often called hardeners (incorrectly), are
needed for curing the polyester and vinylester resins.
Accelerators are needed for curing at room temperature
or for speeding up the reaction.
Inhibitors are needed to increase potlife and/or to
enhance the storage stability of the liquid resin. |
