Composites in the transport sector

When we talk about the transport sector, we think of the sector in which parts are built for vehicles. These include parts for trucks, semi-trailers, buses, sales vehicles and trailers.

The big advantage for the transport sector is that composite materials are lightweight. In addition, fire resistance is key in this sector. Obviously, you do not want the materials to catch fire quickly. That is why flame-retardant resins and gelcoats are widely used in the transport sector. Depending on the specific requirements of the project, products such as ISO- or flame-extinguishing gelcoats, PVC foam panels or PET foam panels are chosen.
