Thixotropic powder TX-1 is a lightweight thickener based on fumed silica for polyester resins and is in the range of Romar-Voss Composites under the brand name AEROSIL 200. Adding this thickener prevents sagging of the polyester resin on a vertical surface.
Application
Depending on the application, between 0.5 and 6.0% thixotropic powder is added to the polyester resin.
