Thixotropy powder TX-2, or Cab-O-Sil, is a lightweight thickener for vinyl ester and epoxy resins, based on fumed silica. Adding this thickener prevents sagging of the resin on a vertical surface.
Application
In combination with TX-2, a vinyl ester or epoxy resin can be used to seal both large and small holes. Depending on the application, between 0.5 and 6.0% thixotropic powder is added to the resin.
