Silicone & latex rubbers
Romar-Voss Composites' product range includes RTV silicone rubbers. These are 2-component Room Temperature Vulcanisation rubbers or room temperature curing silicone rubbers. These RTV silicone rubbers have self-releasing properties, high temperature resistance, high detail reproduction and low shrinkage. A distinction can be made between condensation-curing and addition-curing silicone rubbers. In addition, Romar-Voss Composites offers latex rubbers, which are used in making natural latex rubber moulds. Check out our range of silicone & latex rubbers below.
Condensation-curing silicone rubbers
During the curing of these silicone rubbers, a volatile substance is released: ethanol/propanol. These silicone rubbers are more cost effective compared to addition-curing silicone rubbers.
Addition-curing silicone rubbers
No volatile substances are released during the curing of these silicone rubbers. Addition-curing silicone rubbers have high temperature and chemical resistance.
Latex rubbers
Water-emulsified rubbers with high elongation used in making natural latex rubber moulds. Latex rubbers are generally more cost effective than other rubbers.
