Derakane 470 HT-400 is an epoxy Novolac-based vinyl ester resin. The resin has excellent high heat resistance and very high chemical resistance. This combination makes this resin extremely suitable for chimney liners, fire extinguishers and pipelines, which are exposed to high temperatures. The resin has very high heat and chemical resistance and offers resistance to solvents, acids and oxidising agents such as chlorine. In addition, the resin offers high retention of strength and toughness at elevated temperatures.
Application
Derakane 470 HT-400 can be processed by hand lay-up and spray-up techniques, RTM, filament winding and pultrusion techniques.
