Derakane 8084 is an elastomer modified Bisphenol-A epoxy vinyl ester resin with high toughness and impact resistance. This resin is highly resistant to fatigue behaviour and provides good adhesion to many substrates, which is why it is often used as a primer. Derakane 8084 has standard resistance to many chemicals.
Application
Derakane 8084 is suitable as a primer on steel, aluminium and concrete and can be processed excellently using RTM, filament winding and pultrusion techniques.
The vinyl ester resin Derakane 8084 is also available in a conductive version on request. This resin features nano technology, where the conductivity of the resin is below 1 MΩ.
