Derakane Momentum 470-300 is an epoxy Novolac-based vinyl ester resin. The resin has very high heat and chemical resistance and offers resistance to solvents, acids and oxidising agents such as chlorine. Derakane Momentum 470-300 offers high retention of strength and toughness at elevated temperatures, making this resin ideally suited for applications where resistance to flue gases is important.
Application
This resin is recommended for the manufacture of storage tanks, drums, pipes and in chemical processing projects, among others. Due to its low viscosity, the resin is extremely suitable for vacuum/RTM techniques.
The vinyl ester resin Derakane Momentum 470-300 is also available in a conductive version on request. This resin features nano technology, where the conductivity of the resin is below 1 MΩ.
