Modar NX 870 TF/TFE is a flame-extinguishing hybrid resin with very high fire resistance properties and low smoke number. This resin is mainly used in making for parts for trains and trams. In addition, this resin is regularly used in the production of facade applications and interior walls in construction. This hybrid resin is often processed in combination with an FRX gelcoat to maintain the best fire-resistant properties. Modar NX 870 is available in non-pre-accelerated (TF) and pre-accelerated (TFE) versions.

Application

This polyester resin can be processed using hand lay-up and spray-up techniques. The resin is difficult to process by hand and reasonable to handle by glass/resin spray technique (spray-up).
