Fine weave fabrics

Fine weave fabrics are made from fine glass yarns, making it possible to create fabrics with a low m² weight. These yarns feature an epoxy/silane finish and have very good soaking properties. This makes it possible to create a highly transparent laminate in combination with a resin.

Application

Fine weave fabrics can be processed with polyester, vinyl ester and epoxy resins. Each fabric has its own application. The following fine weave fabrics are included in Romar-Voss Composites' product range.

• Glass cloth 80-gram plain weave fabric (VR27)
  This glass cloth is a lightweight plain weave fabric suitable for processing polyester, vinyl ester and epoxy resins. This glass cloth is used as reinforcing material for thin laminates and, thanks to its fine structure, as a fabric for finishing surfaces. Combined with an epoxy resin, this glass cloth provides beautiful transparent laminates.

• Plain weave fabric 160 grams (VR44)
  A lightweight plain weave fabric suitable for processing with polyester, vinyl ester and epoxy resins. This fine weave fabric is used as reinforcing material for thin laminates and, thanks to its fine structure, as a fabric for finishing surfaces. Combined with an epoxy resin, this fabric provides beautiful transparent laminates.

• Twill weave fabric 160 grams (VR46)
  A lightweight twill weave fabric with excellent drapeability suitable for processing with polyester, vinyl ester and epoxy resins. This twill weave fabric is used as a reinforcement material for thin laminates and, when combined with epoxy resins, gives beautiful transparent laminates.

• Twill weave fabric 290 grams (VR48)
  A twill weave fabric with excellent drapeability suitable for processing with polyester, vinyl ester and epoxy resins. This twill weave fabric, when combined with epoxy resins, produces beautiful transparent laminates.

• Twill weave fabric 390 grams (VR391)
  A twill weave fabric with excellent drapeability suitable for processing with polyester, vinyl ester and epoxy resins. This twill weave fabric, when combined with epoxy resins, produces beautiful transparent laminates.
