The thickness of a glass yarn is expressed in tex (g/km¹). In assembled rovings, also known as spray rovings, the yarns (2,400 tex) are composed of several smaller bundles which cause them to separate from each other during spraying. With spray rovings, the yarns are delivered on a bobbin (spool).
Application
Spray roving can be processed in combination with a polyester or vinyl ester resin.
