In this hybrid fabric, aramid fibres and carbon fibres are interwoven. This combines the high stiffness of carbon with the high impact resistance of aramid. Romar-Voss Composites' product range includes the aramid/carbon fabric GK 165 P as standard. This is a 165 g/m² plain weave fabric. Other versions are available on request.
Application
The best results with hybrid fabrics are achieved when processed with an epoxy resin. An aramid/carbon fabric is used when products are required with a high degree of stiffness and impact resistance.
