In this hybrid fabric, aramid fibres and diolene fibres are interwoven. This combines the high impact resistance of aramid with the black impact-resistant diolene fabric. For the aramid/diolene fabric is more often used as a cheaper alternative of an aramid/carbon hybrid fabric. Romar-Voss Composites' product range includes the aramid/diolene fabric DK 170 P as standard. This is a 170 g/m² plain weave fabric. Other versions are available on request.
Application
The best results with hybrid fabrics are achieved when processed with an epoxy resin. Aramid/diolene fabrics are used when high impact resistance products are required.
