Maxguard SX is a transparent gelcoat based on an isophthalic acid (ISO) polyester resin with neopentyl glycol (NPG) groups. This gelcoat is pre-accelerated and because of its excellent UV resistance, it has superior resistance to yellowing compared to standard ISO and ISO-NPG gelcoats. Combined with good hydrolysis resistance, this gelcoat is perfect for marine applications.
Application
Maxguard SX can be applied by spray application and is mainly used in the shipping industry or similar industries where high demands are placed on the surface properties of composite products.
