Maxguard TN
Topcoat based on isophthalic acid polyester resin with NPG groups
Low styrene emissions
Very good hydrolysis resistance
Specially developed for application in the shipping industry
Maxguard TN is a premium topcoat based on an isophthalic acid (ISO) polyester resin with neopentyl glycol (NPG) groups. This topcoat has low styrene emissions. In general, an ISO-NPG topcoat has poorer UV resistance and much better hydrolysis resistance than a standard ISO topcoat, making an ISO-NPG topcoat such as Maxguard TN excellent for underwater applications. The surface of Maxguard TN is hard and tough.
