Mainly applied in the transport and construction sectors
Maxguard FR is a gelcoat based on an isophthalic acid polyester resin filled with flame-retardant fillers. This gelcoat has a low smoke number compared to halogenated gelcoats. Compared to standard ISO and ISO-NPG gelcoats, this flame-retardant gelcoat has poorer UV resistance. Combined with the flame-retardant resin F 240 TF, this gelcoat gives an M2 F2 rating.
