Maxguard FRX is a flame-retardant gelcoat based on an isophthalic acid polyester resin filled with mineral fillers. This gelcoat has very good flame resistance and a low smoke number. In combination with Modar NX 860 TF, this gelcoat meets the HL3/R1 classification (according to the EN45545 standard for railways) and the EN13501 classification.
Application
Available in a spray version, Maxguard FRX is suitable for use in a variety of FRP products that require good flame-retardant properties. It is recommended to varnish this gelcoat. Maxguard FRX is mainly used in the transport and construction industries and in marine applications.
This gelcoat is available in a white colour and needs final sanding and varnishing.
