  • Pre-accelerated

  • Reduced styrene emissions

  • Medium gel time

  • Sustainable resin, partly composed out of recycled PET materials

Aropol PTM 208 TB is a thixotropic, pre-accelerated polyester resin with low styrene emission. The resin is partly composed of recycled PET materials (22%), making it part of the sustainable resins category. The resin is suitable for general use and has a medium gel time. Compared to standard resins, using this resin reduces styrene emissions by up to 50%. Emissions are only 2-5% of the polyester resin used compared to 5-10% for a standard polyester resin. Aropol PTM 208 TB can be applied through hand lay-up, spray-up and filament winding techniques.

Application

The resin can be applied through hand lay-up, spray-up and filament winding techniques and is mainly applied in the construction, infrastructure, yacht building and transport sectors.
