Derakane 441-400
Unique Bisphenol-A type
Increased temperature resistance
Low styrene content
Derakane 441-400 is a standard epoxy vinyl ester resin. This vinyl ester resin is formulated from a Bisphenol-A epoxy resin and is resistant to many acids, alkalis, bleaches and solvents regularly used in many chemical process applications. The resin offers excellent toughness at elevated temperatures and resistance to fatigue. In terms of temperature and chemical resistance, the Derakane 441-400 resin falls in between the standard epoxy Bisphenol-A types and the epoxy Novolac types.
Application
Derakane 441-400 resin can be processed by hand lay-up, spray-up and filament winding techniques. This resin is recommended for developing FRP storage tanks, drums, pipes and in maintenance projects, especially in chemical processing, among others.
